 MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION
OF
TRURO AND AREA MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION


1. The name of the society is Truro and Area Minor Hockey Association.
 
2. The objects of the Society are:
 
(a) To foster, promote, govern and improve Minor Hockey in and around the Truro and area, and for the enjoyment of the participants.
 
(b) To foster among its members supporters and teams, fair play and sportsmanship and a general community spirit and to maintain and promote the interest in the game of hockey.
 
(c) To control and exercise a general care, supervision and direction over all those involved in Minor Hockey.
 
(d) To encourage participation in the Association by as many players as possible.
 
PROVIDED that nothing herein contained shall permit the Society to carryon any trade, industry or business and the Society shall be carried on without purpose of gain to any of the members and that any surplus or any accretions of the Society shall be used solely for the purposes of the Society and the promotion of its objects.
 
PROVIDED, further, that if for any reason the operations of the Society are terminated or are wound up, or are dissolved and there remains, at that time, after satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities, any property whatsoever, the same shall be paid to some other charitable organization in Canada, having objects similar to those of the Society.
The activities of the Society are to be carried on at Truro, Nova Scotia.
 
3. The registered office of the Society is at Colchester Legion Stadium, P.O. Box 1601, Truro, Nova Scotia B2N 5B3.
 
The following persons made application to form a Society in pursuance of this Memorandum of Association:
